I just got back from the Toronto One of a Kind Show and wanted to tell you that I've found a new favourite independent designer (besides Ro, of course). She makes things from reclaimed used and vintage sweaters, t-shirts and bed sheets (adorable frilly summer dresses!). I bought a sweater like the one pictured above in deep aubergine, and it's delightful. When you are in town we should try to shop Queen West so I can show you some of the fantastic items I got to see at the show! If you want to check out the Precocious website, it's: http://www.precociousboutique.com/index.htm.

I LOVE it!
And I really want to DO that sort of thing.
I really need a sewing machine...
It's such a never ending cycle of wanting things!
In the meantime - since the machines I want are expensive and I think my mom will buy me one if I hold out a bit - you should Def take me to Queen West. Done.
Ya and then you can charge people hundreds of dollars for your repurposed goods! There's a huge market for that in Toronto right now. Is NYC on the green band wagon as much as we are?
