Okay. I've been a terrible blogger over the past week...s, but I apologize and I promise to do better!!
It's really kind of a discipline, or practice. You know?
Now that I'm back, I have to tell you that you really do need to go check out Kathleen Edwards. So far I have only been listening to the most recent album of three. The songs are FOLK-pop-country-ish and are very story based. I'm so homesick for Canada that
A) I tear up everytime I admit that "out loud" - like NOW!
B) I Love listening to her because her she is so CLEARLY a Canadian (I make the Dough, You get the Glory), sometimes it's a little TOO much so (Oh Canada: "Oh Canada, I stand on guard for a lot, But just last week a white girl was shot..." Weak!).
Because in my mind there are some track that are WAY better than others on this album I recommend finding...
Sharing the top spot we have: I make the Dough, You get the Glory / Asking for Flower (the title track) / Sure as Shit / Run
Also good, but not quite AS good: Goodnight, California / Oil Man's War / Lazy Eye (Bonus Track)
All from the Asking for Flowers album.
PS. That was a GLORIOUS cookie shot. Is it yours???

I don't understand why it posted below yours...
I will try to find Kathleen Edwards other albums, but Rogers has just put a cap on our monthly downloads/uploads so I can't download anything until we change internet providers. Isn't that RIDICULOUS? We're so mad.
WHAT????
you CAN'T DOWNLOAD?
like photos? music?
what about itunes?
Insanity.
I know, it's ridiculosity. Gavin just switched our plan to the slowest speed so at least we'll only have to pay like $15-20 more per month when we exceed our limit. But it's so infuriating. It's so Big Brother Is Watching. Fucking Rogers.
