Sometimes I look at engagement rings online, even though I'm not getting engaged in the near future. Although I'm ultimately drawn to the classic solitary princess cut style, right now I'm also liking the multiple-stone option. I'm thinking about how when I'm teaching the Alexander Technique, I don't want to be wearing a stone that's going to snag on people's clothing or get tangled in their hair, so I'm leaning more towards something set into the band. It's hard to get an idea without trying it on, though. My favourite of this bunch is the diamond-ruby ring, which is strange, because that's what my mother wears (the ruby is our birthstone). And I think I want yellow gold, not platinum. What do you think?
