Shoes for Gavin

So after the bitter disappointment of not being able to have TOMS shoes shipped to us in Canada, I started searching for a reasonable facsimile for Gavin's birthday (next weekend). He had tried a pair of these Sanuk's on a while back, but we balked at the price (nearly $100!) and hastily put them back. But yesterday I found that they'd been marked down to $50 so I picked up the last neutral pair in his size. I don't think they're as cute as TOMS - the sole sticks out in a way that makes me think of webbed feet - but I'm assured they're really comfortable, and I think Gavin will get some wear out of them. Yay!
